Commission Report: Equitable SC Sub-Classification in Andhra Pradesh

The Andhra Pradesh government-appointed one-man commission, led by Rajiv Ranjan Mishra, has delivered its report aimed at improving equitable distribution of reservation benefits among Scheduled Castes sub-groups.

After a comprehensive tour across 13 erstwhile districts and conducting stakeholder meetings, the commission submitted its findings and suggestions to the chief secretary.

This move, initiated on November 27, 2024, seeks to address inequalities in SC subclassification as per certain terms and conditions set by the state.
