In Behat, a case has been registered against six named individuals and around 150 unidentified people following a protest against an objectionable social media post targeting Islam.

According to Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Sagar Jain, the protest and subsequent roadblock on the Delhi-Yamunotri Highway were triggered by a local youth's alleged remarks on Facebook against Islam and Ramzan.

The accused claims a hacked account made the comments. Police, intensifying their investigation, have formed several teams to arrest those involved.
