Zero FIR Brings Justice: Man Arrested for Crime Against Minor

A man was arrested for allegedly raping a minor in Anpara, after a Zero FIR from Surat, Gujarat, highlighted the crime. The victim, initially silent, later gave birth to a stillborn, triggering an investigation. The suspect was later apprehended and charged under relevant sections, including the POCSO Act.

In a significant breakthrough, a 21-year-old man has been apprehended for allegedly raping a minor, as confirmed by local law enforcement on Tuesday. The arrest follows a Zero FIR registered in Surat, Gujarat, and subsequently transferred to Anpara, Uttar Pradesh.

Inspector-in-charge Shiv Pratap Verma identified the accused as Tushar Das Gupta, a resident of Bajrang Nagar in Anpara. The alleged crime dated back to November 2023, but the victim's family initially refrained from lodging a complaint, forcing the victim to seek refuge and employment elsewhere.

After a tragic sequence of events in Surat, including the victim's pregnancy and the delivery of a stillborn, an investigation was launched. The Vesu police engaged with the victim's family to transport the case to Anpara, culminating in the accused’s arrest and legal proceedings under the POCSO Act and other relevant sections.
