Escalating Tensions in Jenin: A Humanitarian Crisis Unfolds
In Jenin, five Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces in a large-scale operation. Many Palestinians, both militants and civilians, have fallen victim, and thousands have fled their homes. The operation targets militant groups but has drawn international concern and calls for restraint.

Five Palestinians, including a 60-year-old woman, lost their lives in Jenin due to Israeli forces' actions over a span of 24 hours, the Palestinian Authority reported on Tuesday. This incident is part of a vast operation within the West Bank, marking one of the largest military undertakings in years.
The Palestinian Authority also noted that a man sought for prior incidents was killed by Palestinian security forces. This raises the Palestinian death toll to over 30 since January, following the Israeli military's exhaustive operations involving thousands of troops sweeping through northern cities and refugee camps.
Many casualties have been members of militant groups, yet many uninvolved civilians have also died. The operation, aimed at dismantling Iranian-backed militant groups like Hamas and Islamic Jihad, has led to the displacement of thousands. The international community, including France, Germany, and the U.N., expresses increasing concern, urging moderation in response.
