In a significant bust on Tuesday, Rajasthan Police apprehended four individuals and confiscated jewellery valued at approximately Rs 2.5 crore from a private bus on Abu Road, Sirohi district. Authorities suspect the involvement of hawala transactions.

According to police officer Laxman Singh, the hidden cache, which included Rs 81.49 lakh in cash, was discovered under a seat's compartment during a routine check on the sleeper bus traveling from Sirohi to Ahmedabad.

The four arrested are residents of Sirohi, identified as Kaluram, Haneef Khan, Harish Kumar, and Suresh Kumar. Investigations are ongoing to uncover the source and intended use of the seized cash and jewellery.
