The Cooperative Election Authority (CEA) is setting new benchmarks in holding elections within cooperative societies with transparency, as highlighted by Union Cooperation Secretary Ashish Kumar Bhutani on Tuesday, during CEA's First Foundation Year celebration.

The event gathered esteemed figures like CEA Chairman Devendra Kumar Singh and the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Rabindra Kumar Agrawal, providing a platform to discuss strategic advancements since the CEA's inception following the Multi-State Cooperative Societies (Amendment) Act 2023.

Bhutani stressed the significance of the CEA in enforcing democratic control, eliminating vested interests, and enriching credibility through the involvement of District Magistrates in elections.
