Justice Served: 20-Year Sentence for Heinous Crime Against Minor

A district court sentenced Dhirendra Kumar to 20 years in prison for raping a six-year-old girl in 2022. The Special Judge imposed a fine of Rs 20,000, which will be given to the victim. The conviction followed a complaint lodged at Saini police station.

A district court on Tuesday sentenced Dhirendra Kumar to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment for the brutal rape of a six-year-old girl in 2022, marking a significant judgement in the case.

The court, presided by Special Judge Ashok Kumar Srivastava under the POCSO Act, also imposed a Rs 20,000 fine on the accused, as confirmed by Additional District Government Advocate Shashank Khare.

The incident occurred on June 11, 2022, when the victim's father reported the crime to the Saini police, stating that Kumar lured his daughter to a secluded area and assaulted her. The fine collected from Kumar will be provided to the victim as compensation.
