Trio Arrested for Auto-Rickshaw Snatching Spree in Gurugram

Three men were arrested in Gurugram for allegedly engaging in snatching while using an auto-rickshaw. The police recovered the vehicle and a stolen cellphone. One victim reported the crime leading to the arrests near DLF Phase-2. The accused have prior theft records.

The Gurugram Police have apprehended three individuals on charges of snatching while traveling in an auto-rickshaw, according to officials on Wednesday.

Authorities seized both the auto-rickshaw involved in the crime and a stolen cellphone from the suspects.

This development follows a report filed by a victim on March 10 who alleged he was assaulted and robbed of his mobile phone by a group of youths in an auto-rickshaw. Upon investigation, the Sikenderpur crime unit made arrests near DLF Phase-2. The accused, Kuldeep, Pankaj, and Sujit, have previous records of theft, with Pankaj facing two prior cases and Sujit five.
