In a decisive move, Assam’s law enforcement agencies intercepted and deported six infiltrators, including three women, back to Bangladesh from the Sribhumi district, as per Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

The crackdown is part of the government’s intensified efforts to curb illegal infiltration, with Sarma announcing the successful deportation on social media platform X, emphasizing Assam police’s round-the-clock border vigilance.

The Chief Minister also highlighted that the state’s vigilance has led to the deportation of 315 infiltrators over the past seven months, underscoring Assam’s commitment to maintaining border security and an infiltration-free state.
