Dalit Survivor Abducted Before Court Testimony

A 16-year-old Dalit gangrape survivor was allegedly kidnapped just before she was due to testify in court. The accused, Zabir Ali and Munawar Ali, are implicated in the abduction. Attempts to recover the victim are ongoing, and an FIR has been filed by the police.

A 16-year-old Dalit gangrape survivor has reportedly been kidnapped by one of the accused on the eve of her court testimony, local police confirmed on Thursday.

The girl's father lodged a complaint, stating that Zabir Ali, aided by Munawar Ali, allegedly abducted his daughter on March 11, a day before her scheduled court appearance on March 12.

According to Inspector Shyam Bihari of the Gopiganj police station, the girl was initially abducted and gang-raped last October by Zabir Ali and a 17-year-old associate, both of whom faced charges but have since been released on bail. Efforts to locate and recover the girl are currently underway.
