Detained Under PSA: The Case of Mohd Ayaz in J&K

Mohd Ayaz, accused of multiple criminal and anti-national activities, was detained under the Public Safety Act in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district. His detention followed a detailed dossier submitted to the district magistrate. He is now lodged at district jail Udhampur.

Jammu and Kashmir authorities detained Mohd Ayaz under the Public Safety Act in Kathua district for alleged involvement in criminal and anti-national activities.

According to a police spokesperson, Ayaz was taken into custody from Lohai-Malhar following a detention warrant issued by the district magistrate, which was executed by Malhar police.

Ayaz is described as a habitual offender. The police compiled a dossier of his activities, which was used to secure his detention to prevent further offenses.
