Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday committed to rehabilitating families displaced by the Polavaram Project before releasing water from the major irrigation initiative.
Naidu emphasized that the project would only be inaugurated after ensuring proper resettlement of affected individuals, promising fair compensation and highlighting the state's past efforts in support, contrasting with previous government actions.
During his visit, he attacked the former YSRCP government for its negligence and outlined steps his administration is taking to provide financial support and prevent corruption in compensation distribution, ensuring justice for displaced families.
