In a heart-wrenching incident, two young brothers met a tragic fate as they drowned in the Bawana canal in Delhi. Authorities reported that one of the brothers was found dead, while the search for the other continues. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The incident unfolded early Thursday morning when the Bawana Police Station received an emergency call at 7:15 am. The caller, an 11-year-old friend of the victims, informed the police about the drowning mishap involving Rohit, 13, and Mohit, 9, sons of Kailash Kumar.
Rescue operations were swiftly launched as teams from the Delhi Fire Service, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and local police scoured the waters. The efforts led to the recovery of Rohit's body, which was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital. Meanwhile, attempts to locate Mohit are ongoing, as multiple agencies remain engaged in the search endeavor.
