Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday urged states with borders adjoining Pakistan and Nepal to exercise rigorous vigilance against anti-national propaganda spread via social and other media platforms.
Addressing a meeting with chief ministers, DGPs, and chief secretaries of these states, Shah emphasized quick responses against violators. He also stipulated arrangements for the smooth operation of essential services like hospitals and fire brigades, ensuring uninterrupted supply of critical goods.
Shah highlighted the importance of stronger coordination between local administration, the army, and paramilitary forces. The minister instructed states to ready the SDRF, civil defence, home guards, and NCC according to mock drill guidelines, while advocating for public participation to bolster security efforts.
