The Indian armed forces launched a series of precise strikes on nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on Wednesday. These include Markaz Taiba, the headquarters of Lashkar-e-Taiba in Muridke, where terrorists involved in the 2008 Mumbai attacks were trained.

Dubbed 'Operation Sindoor,' the military action was a direct response to the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed the lives of 26 civilians, including one Nepalese citizen. Senior officials, including Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, provided a detailed media briefing post-operation.

According to military sources, the strikes targeted key training sites such as Markaz Subhan Allah in Bahawalpur and Hizbul Mujahideen's facility in Sialkot. Markaz Taiba was particularly noteworthy as it hosted the training of Ajmal Kasab, one of the Mumbai attackers, and others under Hafiz Syed's leadership.
