In a resounding demonstration of military prowess, Puducherry's Lieutenant Governor Kailashnathan announced on Wednesday that the Indian Army successfully executed 'Operation Sindoor', targeting terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Kailashnathan reflected on the global praise the Indian Army received following the retaliatory strikes against those responsible for the recent tourist attack in Pahalgam, attributing the initiative's success to Prime Minister Modi's leadership. The territorial government, he assured, remains steadfast in its support to the union government's protective measures.

Chief Minister N Rangasamy applauded the army's achievement as an effective reprisal against terrorism, a sentiment echoed by Senior Congressman V Narayanasamy, who highlighted the operation's strategic significance. Concurrently, the Puducherry State Disaster Management Authority conducted mock drills to assess emergency readiness, affirming the region's coordinated crisis response efforts.
