Love Turns Lethal: Woman Arrested for Paramour's Murder

A woman in Jaipur, Barkat Rathod, was arrested for the murder of her lover, Imamuddin Mansuri, in Mumbai. She attempted to stage it as a suicide but was caught based on evidence showing her involvement. Rathod was charged under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita after being linked to his death.

A 44-year-old woman has been apprehended in Jaipur for allegedly murdering her lover and attempting to stage it as a suicide, Mumbai police reported on Wednesday.

Barkat Rathod, a married woman, was charged after she killed businessman Imamuddin Mansuri in Malad East, Mumbai, and tried to mislead his family and police with a false suicide message. The two had been in a relationship until their families intervened.

Investigation revealed Mansuri was poisoned and strangled. Technical evidence led police to arrest Rathod on Tuesday, and she faces murder charges under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
