Rajasthan's Vigil: Schools Close Amid Border Tensions

Rajasthan government cancels leaves of administrative and police personnel near the International Border, shutting schools in five districts amid rising India-Pakistan tensions after Operation Sindoor. The Rajasthan government has taken decisive measures in response to escalated tensions between India and Pakistan, following Operation Sindoor. Authorities have canceled leaves for administrative and police personnel near the International Border and shut schools in five districts, including Sri Ganganagar and Bikaner.

A blackout has been mandated from midnight to 4 am in the western border districts, as a precaution against potential air strikes. Flight operations at key airports in Bikaner, Kishangarh, and Jodhpur have been suspended until May 10.

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma reviewed the situation, following India's recent strike on terror infrastructure in Pakistan. High-level meetings were held, directing officials to remain prepared for any eventualities, stock hospitals with essential medicines, and prepare schools as temporary shelters.
