The incident unfolded on Monday night in the Patni Chowk area, leading to a stone-pelting clash. Superintendent of Police Anuj Tare explained the sequence of events started with a verbal spat, followed by a weapon attack.
While police managed to disperse the crowd quickly, calm was restored with the arrest of six individuals, and more are expected as CCTV footage undergoes scrutiny. This incident mirrors previous tensions in the region, highlighting underlying communal sensitivities.
