Repeat Offender Nabbed in Auto-Rickshaw Theft Spree
A 45-year-old history-sheeter, Mohammad Afzal, has been arrested in north Delhi for stealing auto-rickshaws used for commercial transport. Captured during routine checks, he confessed to decades of motor vehicle thefts. The police are investigating further to trace additional stolen vehicles and potential accomplices.

A repeat offender was apprehended in north Delhi's Sadar Bazar area for allegedly stealing auto-rickshaws and employing them for unauthorized commercial passenger services, authorities revealed on Tuesday.
The accused, identified as Mohammad Afzal, was caught in a routine checkpoint near Motia Khan Chowk on May 10 while driving a non-registered auto-rickshaw, officials reported. The vehicle was confirmed as stolen, reported missing a day earlier from Eidgah Road.
Afzal, a known criminal with a history of motor vehicle thefts, confessed to stealing and using the vehicles for personal gain. Police are continuing their investigations to uncover more stolen assets and potential collaborators.
