Superintendent of Police Vikas Kumar revealed that the fraud was exposed in Bishanpur Tantanwa village, located in the Pachpedwa block.

The scam involved the use of counterfeit muster rolls and fabricated documents to syphon off funds intended for laborers under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee scheme, according to a complaint by the Block Development Officer, which prompted the ensuing police investigation.
