The Bihar Police intensified their investigation into an extortion case linked to RJD MLA Ritlal Yadav by conducting searches at multiple locations associated with Yadav's aides. This operation, carried out on Sunday night and into Monday, aimed to apprehend four absconding associates accused of extortion in Patna.
Officials revealed that these suspects demolished a structure in Danapur when their extortion demands were unmet. While MLA Ritlal Yadav remains in judicial custody, authorities continue their pursuit of the fugitive suspects. Ritlal Yadav had surrendered to authorities last April amidst allegations of a political conspiracy against him.
In a statement, Yadav claimed he faces threats to his life and intends to seek bail if he survives the alleged assassination attempts. He accused certain officials of conspiring with his rivals to eliminate him. The investigation continues as Bihar Police vow to bring those involved to justice.
