Police spokesperson Wasiu Abiodun confirmed the attack occurred at Kpenya Mosque in the Dekara district of the Borgu local government area. The assailants struck around 2 p.m. local time after also attacking nearby Gidan-Zana and Kpenya villages, suggesting a coordinated effort.
