In a harrowing night of violence, Russian drones and missiles wreaked havoc across Kyiv, killing ten people, including a child, and setting residential areas ablaze, according to Ukrainian officials on Monday. The attack led to devastating scenes as rescue workers sifted through the rubble of buildings in Kyiv's Shevchenkivskyi district.

Valeriy Mankuta, a 33-year-old construction worker, recounted his terrifying experience, escaping his shattered residence in the midst of the chaos. Photos captured by Reuters depicted numerous explosions igniting near residential areas. Meanwhile, at least 34 people, including four children, sustained injuries in the overnight assault.

Ukraine's air force reported intercepting most of the drones and missiles launched by Russia. In tandem, further strikes in the Black Sea region added to the toll, intensifying the humanitarian crisis. Amidst this turmoil, Ukraine remains steadfast, with global diplomatic efforts continuing.
