Unidentified men allegedly looted gold ornaments from a jewelry store and attacked its owner in a dramatic daylight heist in Pune on Tuesday afternoon, police reported.
The robbery unfolded in the bustling Wadgaon Budruk area of the city around 1.30 pm, involving two armed men entering the shop while an accomplice waited outside with a motorcycle.
Shop owner Mangal Ghadge (55) recounted that the assailants threatened her with a sharp weapon and a pistol-like object, shattering the glass showcase to steal 58 grams of gold ornaments. Authorities are now reviewing CCTV footage to identify the culprits.
