Man kills friend during quarrel at party

A 46-year-old man was allegedly killed by a friend during a quarrel in Ulhasnagar area of the district, police said on Friday.Shakeel Sheikh 45 was arrested for murder following the incident which took place during a party thrown by Shaikh at his house on Thursday night, said an official of Hill Line Police station. Sheikh and victim Anil Kamble 46 were daily wage labourers and close friends, he said.

Shakeel Sheikh (45) was arrested for murder following the incident which took place during a party thrown by Shaikh at his house on Thursday night, said an official of Hill Line Police station. Sheikh and victim Anil Kamble (46) were daily wage labourers and close friends, he said. ''Sheikh threw a party at his residence where Kamble was also present. An altercation broke out between the two over a past dispute. The accused allegedly banged the victim's head on a wall and hit him with a wooden plank,'' the official added. Further probe was on, he said.
