A shocking incident has emerged from Kangra district, Himachal Pradesh, where a female tourist from Delhi was allegedly raped by the hotel owner where she was staying, according to police reports on Tuesday.

The accused, identified as Shubham, was apprehended following a complaint lodged by the victim. According to the complaint, the horrifying event occurred while the woman's friends and employer, a friend of Shubham, were out sightseeing on Sunday.

Authorities revealed that the suspect threatened the victim with severe consequences if she disclosed the assault. Following her report, Shubham was arrested under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and the victim was sent for a medical examination as the investigation progresses.
