In Bhopal, two men were apprehended for possession of mephedrone and allegedly involved in blackmail and coercive religious conversions of college students, according to police reports on Thursday.
The suspects, Yaseen Ahmed and Shahwar Ahmed, were caught with over three grams of MD and a cache of incriminating materials, including a firearm and objectionable videos. The crime branch of the police has booked them under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, confirming these details through Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), Shailendra Chauhan.
The alleged activities included drugging and exploiting girls at parties. The arrest has sparked political controversy, with accusations involving BJP leaders, leading Congress figures to criticize the state government's handling while BJP representatives dismissed these claims as unfounded.
