Tragic Incident: Father's Desperation Leads to Borewell Tragedy

A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Jamwa Ramgarh, as the body of a one-year-old, allegedly discarded into a borewell pit by his father, was discovered on Friday, police reported.

The father, identified as Lalit, claimed he disposed of his son's body on Wednesday night following the child's demise due to illness. Police detained Lalit for questioning. According to SHO Rampal Sharma, the body was retrieved on Friday morning using a rope and hook.

Lalit reportedly said that his son's ongoing illness, compounded by his wife's departure, left him in distress. After a visit to the doctor failed to improve the boy's condition, Lalit said his son passed away late at night. The police continue to investigate, with a post-mortem pending to confirm the cause and time of death.
