According to Additional Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar, unknown anti-social elements inflicted damage on the idol late Monday night into Tuesday.
A case has been filed at the Robertsganj police station, and efforts to identify and apprehend the suspects are ongoing, with order maintained in the area post-incident.
