On Tuesday, Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar firmly dismissed accusations made by former Maharashtra minister Eknath Khadse. The allegations claim that police leaked videos of a drug raid showing Khadse's son-in-law.
The commissioner assured the media that the operation was transparent and lawful, with no impropriety involved. The drug bust took place at a studio apartment in Pune's upscale Kharadi area, leading to several arrests, including that of Pranjal Khewalkar.
In response to claims of surveillance on Khewalkar, Kumar stated that the raid was based on specific intel received. Seized items included cocaine, marijuana, and liquor, with no police leaks occurring, as alleged by Khadse.
