Delhi Simplifies Industrial Licensing: A Boost for Local Enterprises
Delhi's government has removed the need for a separate factory licence in industrial areas, simplifying the process for businesses. Existing units will now be recognized through MSME Udhyam Registration or a GNCTD-issued document. This decision aims to enhance the ease of doing business in the city.

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has streamlined the process for industrial manufacturing by eliminating the requirement for a factory licence in recognized industrial areas.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced that this measure is designed to enhance business efficiency and encourage enterprises.
Under the revised framework, micro, small, and medium enterprises will possess an 'MSME Udhyam Registration Certificate,' while larger operations will be covered by documentation from GNCTD or DSIIDC. This initiative is effective immediately and extends to both planned and unplanned industrial sectors.
