Telangana Official Suspended for CM's Photo Gaffe

A Gram Panchayat Secretary in Telangana, T Rajanna, has been suspended for uploading a photo of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on an attendance app. The incident is labeled an 'irresponsible' act and a 'serious dereliction of duty.' Rajanna uploaded the CM's photo rather than his own.

In a peculiar incident from Telangana, a Gram Panchayat Secretary has faced suspension for substituting his attendance photo with that of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on a facial recognition app.

Secretary T Rajanna of Chandayyapalli village in Jagtial district was expected to use a personal photo at the Panchayat office as per the app’s requirements. This has been deemed a ‘serious dereliction of duty’.

During his suspension, Rajanna must remain at his headquarters unless granted permission to leave and will receive only a subsistence allowance.
