The Congress party is organizing a national conclave on Saturday to address and deliberate upon constitutional challenges and the path forward. This significant event comes against the backdrop of the party's persistent claims that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party is undermining the Constitution.
According to Abhishek Singhvi, Chairman of AICC's Department of Law, Human Rights, and RTI, the meeting will feature addresses from top Congress leaders, including party chief Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi. Additionally, party general secretaries and visiting chief ministers will participate, placing a spotlight on themes such as federalism, social justice, and institutional accountability.
With a comprehensive lineup of sessions planned, the conclave will serve as a critical platform to reassess and rekindle dialogue over the constitutional hurdles facing India, reaffirming the commitment to uphold democratic principles and address vital issues like judicial independence and the erosion of institutional integrity.
