The manager of a Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) guest house in Jaisalmer was detained on allegations of espionage for Pakistan. Law enforcement officials reported the development on Tuesday.
Mahendra Prasad, originally hailing from Almora in Uttarakhand, served as the manager of the guest house located in the Chandan area of the region. His detainment, executed on Monday, has prompted scheduled joint interrogations to explore the extent of his activities.
Authorities suspect Prasad of leaking sensitive strategic information. This guest house accommodates DRDO experts and officials involved in missile and weapon trials conducted at Pokaran range, a strategic asset in the area.
