The Madhya Pradesh government has admitted in the assembly that a non-operational hospital in Guna district fraudulently received between Rs 40 to 50 lakh from the Chief Minister Relief Fund. This revelation came in response to a query by Congress MLA Jaivardhan Singh during the Question Hour.

Minister of State for Public Health, Narendra Shivaji Patel, stated that a complaint was lodged by one Rajesh Sharma, which led to an investigation. A four-member team found that the ''Bhopal City Hospital Maksudangarh'' was not operational, as it was supposed to be as per the applications submitted.

Singh expressed his disbelief at the release of funds to nonexistent patients, emphasizing the need for strict action against all parties involved. He compared the situation to the infamous Vyapam scam, highlighting the ease with which fraudulent activities are conducted under the current government.
