Rane noted that issues surrounding widow abuse and discrimination can efficiently be addressed through the women's helpline (181) and a network of One Stop Centres across the state. These facilities provide integrated support, including psychological, legal, and medical aid, serving as a one-stop solution for affected women.

The minister further asserted that there was no need for new legislation to combat widow discrimination, as current mechanisms are deemed adequate to address any such issues that may arise.
