In a concerning development, two jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force sustained injuries from an IED blast in Jharkhand's Chaibasa Friday.

The explosion occurred around midday while CRPF personnel were conducting a search operation in the Mankey area near Jaraikela, set in the Saranda forest, one of Asia's densest forests.

The affected jawans, both members of the CRPF's elite CoBRA battalion, are being transported by air to Ranchi to receive advanced medical care as the search operation continues.
