In a significant operation, Assam Rifles intercepted a huge cache of illegal Methamphetamine at Zokhawthar in the Champhai district on Mizoram's border with Myanmar.

During a search prompted by valuable intelligence on Monday, officials seized 6.86 kilograms, equal to 70,700 tablets, of the drug, valued at Rs 21 crore.

While no arrests have been reported, the confiscated contraband has been handed over to the Narcotics Control Bureau in Aizawl for further action.
