Juvenile Arrested for Heinous Crime in Jharkhand

A juvenile has been taken into custody by police in Jharkhand's Khunti district for the alleged rape of a five-year-old girl. Authorities say the incident unfolded late Monday afternoon in a village located in the Jariagarh police station area.

According to Jariagarh police station officer-in-charge Birender Kumar, the 15-year-old boy, who is reportedly a school dropout, led the child to a deserted location under the guise of offering sweets and committed the crime following the consumption of alcohol.

The boy, who has no prior criminal record, was detained and sent to a district juvenile remand home. The police acted swiftly after the girl’s parents filed a complaint. The victim has been hospitalized, and her condition is stable, according to officers.
