A man was taken into custody for allegedly clashing with a Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) team and forcibly freeing stray dogs they had captured in Rohini, according to local police reports on Tuesday. The accused, Bhavik Wassan, was identified via CCTV footage.
The incident took place at Sarvodaya Vidyalaya in Rohini's Sector 16 on Monday. The MCD's veterinary department was addressing a complaint about a stray dog when Wassan and a group of dog lovers allegedly confronted and physically assaulted the MCD team.
The group reportedly vandalized the MCD vehicle, damaging tools and equipment, and disrupted official duties. An FIR was filed following a complaint by a veterinary officer. The investigation continues as authorities aim to identify further suspects involved in the incident.
