Elderly Woman's Tragic Murder Shocks Aizawl

Three individuals have been detained in connection with the murder of an elderly woman named Runliani in Aizawl. Found with her throat slit, the victim was discovered in her home. The suspects are being questioned, but no significant progress has been made so far.

An elderly woman's murder has shaken the community in the southern outskirts of Aizawl, as police announced on Wednesday the detention of three individuals involved in the case.

The tragic discovery of Runliani, aged 80, came on Tuesday when she was found dead at her residence in Maubawk, with her throat cut.

Police are currently interrogating the suspects; however, no breakthrough has yet been achieved. Runliani, who operated an eatery from her home, resided there with her daughter and grandson. At the time of the incident, her daughter was tending to a kitchen garden nearby.
