According to Reuters, the examination of security guarantees for Ukraine by U.S. and European military planners follows U.S. President Donald Trump's announcement of America's support for Ukraine's security in a potential peace agreement. 'Securing a ceasefire is necessary before defining the mission and the contributions from each country,' the Turkish source stated anonymously.

As a NATO member, Turkey is considering sending a peacekeeping force to Ukraine, given its strategic ties with both Kyiv and Moscow. While it supports Ukraine's territorial integrity, Turkey opposes sanctions on Russia, and is committed to regional peace efforts as part of Europe's 'coalition of the willing.'
