Massive Drug Bust Unveils Rs 75 Crore Worth of Trafficking in Mizoram
In Mizoram, a large consignment of methamphetamine tablets and heroin worth over Rs 75 crore was seized. Eight individuals were arrested during a special joint operation by BSF, NCB, and Mizoram Excise and Narcotics department, targeting drug trafficking along the Aizawl–Champhai highway.

Security forces in Mizoram executed a significant drug bust, capturing methamphetamine tablets and heroin worth over Rs 75 crore. The operation, a joint effort by BSF, NCB, and state narcotics officials, led to the arrest of eight suspects.
The operation took place on Thursday, following intelligence reports developed by the BSF. The team intercepted four vehicles on the Aizawl–Champhai highway. They seized 50 kg of methamphetamine and 36 gm of heroin.
The authorities emphasized the importance of their collaboration in disrupting the drug trafficking network along the Mizoram–Myanmar corridor and affirmed their dedication to combating drug-related crimes.
