Police in Assam's Karbi Anglong district made a significant drug bust on Tuesday, arresting two individuals and seizing ganja valued at Rs 8 crore.
The operation was initiated after authorities received a tip-off, prompting intensified searches at checkpoints in Dillai, Bokajan sub-division, where a suspicious truck was intercepted.
A comprehensive search uncovered 148 packets of marijuana, weighing approximately 147.25 kg, hidden in a secret truck compartment. The arrested individuals hail from Rajasthan and Haryana, and a case has been filed with legal procedures underway.
