The Bombay High Court has been targeted with its second bomb threat email in just a week, raising security concerns. On Friday morning, an email claiming there would be a bomb blast at the court premises in south Mumbai was received by officials.
The bomb detection and disposal squad, along with the dog squad, conducted an extensive search operation which ultimately revealed no suspicious items, confirming the threat as a hoax. Court sessions proceeded as scheduled without further disruption, an official confirmed.
Last week, a similar threat on September 12 led to a temporary suspension of court hearings. The police have registered a case against unidentified individuals as investigations continue into these alarming incidents.
