The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced a successful pilot of AI-enabled facial authentication technology for candidate verification, marking a significant advance in examination procedures.
Partnering with the National e-Governance Division (NeGD), this initiative aims to bolster examination integrity and streamline candidate entry at test centers, according to UPSC Chairman Ajay Kumar.
Following successful trials during major exams, such as the NDA and CDS, plans are in place to implement this technology in upcoming civil services examinations, emphasizing infrastructure considerations and staff training.
