Britain's Foreign Office announced on Friday the release of Peter and Barbie Reynolds, a British couple held by the Taliban in Afghanistan, expressing relief at the resolution.
Hamish Falconer, the minister for the Middle East, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, stated that the UK government had been working intensively for their release and provided constant support to their family.
The minister also highlighted the critical role played by Qatar in the couple's release, extending gratitude to the state for their essential involvement.
