AIMPLB's Struggle Against Contentious Waqf Law Amendments

The All India Muslim Personal Law Board is protesting against the Supreme Court's approval of certain provisions in the new Waqf Act. The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) is raising concerns against what it sees as the Supreme Court's tacit validation of controversial provisions in the newly amended Waqf Act. As per the Board, these changes unfairly target Muslim endowments.

An emergency meeting chaired by Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani convened to assess the Supreme Court's interim order on the Waqf (Amendment) Act, 2025. The Board commended the opposition and civil society for their solidarity in opposing these amendments.

With the Supreme Court recent decision to block certain provisions, such as excessive powers granted to Collectors, the Board remains vigilant and committed to advocating for a repeal of the law's contentious clauses. They continue to hope for a final judgment that offers greater justice to waqf properties.
