Tragic Incident: 17-Year-Old Allegedly Gang-Raped in Jharkhand

A somber incident has come to light in Jharkhand's Lohardaga district, where a 17-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped while returning from a local fair, according to police reports on Friday.
The teenager, who was visiting her grandmother, attended the fair on Thursday evening. On her way back, she was forcibly taken by a group of five men to an isolated area and gang-raped, authorities said.
All five suspects have been apprehended, confirmed Superintendent of Police Sadique Anwar Rizvi. The police have registered a case under BNS Section 70 and the POCSO Act, as stated by Ratnesh Mohan Thakur, the in-charge of the Lohardaga Sadar police station.
